Primland, Auberge Collection Opens First Luxury Residence – Elite Traveler

As the year draws to a close, the evenings get longer and the temperature starts to drop. When planning vacations, people often look to the Aspen slopes or the Sunshine Coast to get their body temperature back to normal. But what about the States in between?

Located on 12,000 acres in the heart of Virginia’s Blue Ridge Mountains, Primland, Auberge Resorts Collection is a majestic year-round mountain retreat with myriad outdoor adventure experiences. As though Primland’s abundance of outdoor offerings were not enough to tempt you to the Southeast, the hotel has just unveiled a new six-bedroom mountaintop estate, its first luxury residence.

Hawk Eye promises a residential-style accommodation that’s ideal for larger families or groups seeking a balance of outdoor adventures and sophisticated amenities. A serene and completely private enclave, the estate features a sprawling four-bedroom primary residence spread across 3,697 sq-ft, including a spacious living room and gourmet kitchen; a two-bedroom, 1,210-sq-ft guest house; and a standalone games cottage outfitted with vintage arcade games, a pool table, private bocce court, and more.

Hawk Eye boasts the most enviable vantage point on the resort’s private grounds, with dramatic 27-ft floor-to-ceiling windows that showcase the sweeping mountain views unique to Southern Appalachia. Outside, the residence also features a private heated pool, two hot tubs, and a fire pit, all set against the majestic views of the mountain landscape.

Those looking to get even closer to nature on their trip can take advantage of Primland’s endless outdoor activities and excursions, whether that’s a complimentary private hike led by the property’s on-site naturalist, RTV adventures departing from their doorstep, immersive culinary experiences with a private chef, in-residence spa treatments, fitness classes, and more.

The opening of Hawk Eye marks the end of the resort’s renovation projects, following redesigned public spaces, refreshed guestrooms in the Lodge and Fairway Cottages, a new signature restaurant, Leatherflower, as well as two brand new Mountain Top Tree House Suites overlooking the Blue Ridge Mountains.
