First Look at Vie L’Ven, St. Maarten’s Latest Luxury Resort – Elite Traveler

Half French, half Dutch, but wholly unforgettable, St. Maarten is an island with double the charm – and now, double the luxury, with the arrival of Vie L’Ven, set to welcome guests in 2027. Nestled along Indigo Bay, this new luxury outpost from Altree Developments will offer 280 rooms and residences, along with Caribbean-first amenities, including dining offerings from Alain Ducasse and the island’s first private yacht dock.

The resort’s residences range from one- to four-bedroom layouts, spanning 620 to 6,000 sq ft, with private plunge pools, ocean views, and indoor-outdoor spaces that bring the island’s beauty front and center. Each unit captures laid-back Caribbean vibes, but the service is anything but: Vie L’Ven will offer a Les Clefs d’Or concierge team, a beach club with cabana butler service, and three pools, including an adults-only oasis.

Where things really get exciting is the spa – at 30,000 sq ft, it’s the Caribbean’s largest, featuring Finnish and Bio saunas, vitality pools and treatments by Biologique Recherche and The Tides. For fitness lovers, there’s also a high-tech gym with wellness programs designed for longevity.

Foodies will want to dive into the culinary scene: Michelin-starred chef Alain Ducasse is set to launch his first Caribbean restaurant here, blending local ingredients with his signature style. Two additional dining venues will ensure variety for guests looking to explore island-inspired cuisine without leaving the property.

For those who prefer their Caribbean vacations with a touch of adventure, Vie L’Ven has something no other resort on St. Maarten does: its own yacht dock, making it easy to hop over to neighboring islands like Saba, St. Barths, and Anguilla.

Vie L’Ven’s Indigo Bay location and rare amenities have secured it as one of the Caribbean’s most coveted addresses – and with openings filling up fast, it’s clear travelers are ready to stake their claim. So it may not be surprising to hear demand has been sky-high, with one of the three residence buildings, Martin, already sold out – prices for the remaining Kingfisher and Osprey buildings start from $900,000.
