Castelfalfi Unveils Stefano Ricci La Rocca Penthouse

Castelfalfi – one of Tuscany’s most coveted five-star hotels – has unveiled the result of its partnership with esteemed Florentine lifestyle brand and suitmaker, Stefano Ricci: the Stefano Ricci La Rocca Penthouse.

Spread across two floors and covering 3,304 sq ft, the collaborative project is actually made up of two suites – Aquila on the first floor and Pegaso on the second – which come together to create one expansive penthouse.

Brought to life by the brand’s eponymous founder himself, the Stefano Ricci La Rocca Penthouse’s interiors are intended to reflect the beauty of the Italian landscape with earth tones of burnt orange a cream chosen to mimic the region’s stone, woodland and golden hills. Flashes of black and dark wood add a sophisticated edge.

Every element is entirely custom-made for Castelfalfi, from the silk curtains by Stefano Ricci-owned textiles workshop, Antico Setificio Fiorentino to the sustainably sourced crocodile leather armchairs.

In both suites, the beds are crafted from orange and white leather, and made up in the finest Egyptian Giza 45 cotton, which is crafted in Italy and finished with Stefano Ricci’s signature embroidery. The bathrooms are equally as luxurious, and adorned in rich green marble and grey granite.

A real highlight of the Stefano Ricci La Rocca Penthouse, however, is its outdoor rooftop terrace, which features its own hot tub and, thanks to Castelfalfi’s prime hilltop position, impressive views across the Tuscan hills.

It’s not all about getting a good night’s sleep either. Guests of the new Stefano Ricci suite will be invited to experience a series of exclusive activities, from a private fitting with a Stefano Ricci tailor to the brand’s workshop in Florence for a behind-the-scenes glimpse into its exquisite craftsmanship.

“I share a deep bond of respect and friendship with Castelfalfi ownership and management. This connection inspired my approach to designing the interiors of the Suite La Rocca, where I envisioned a residence that reflects the harmony and balance of a countryside villa,” said Ricci.

“To enhance the ideal home for a gentleman, we incorporated elements of true heritage: pietra serena hand-crafted by master stonemasons, dark Californian briar-root wood, vibrant orange leather, and silk fabrics from the Antico Setificio Fiorentino. Dressing an environment is, indeed, about embracing a man’s life 360 degrees, like the creation of a bespoke suit.”
